GE&A handled the claim for a public service port and other companies affected by the collision of a deep-draft vessel against a dock, which led to its total destruction and the paralysis of port operations for a period of three years, while its reconstruction was carried out.
The case involved handling highly complex litigation, such as the jurisdictional investigation for the Port Authority, insurance claims, arbitration proceedings, preventive seizure of ships, lawsuits for the General Secretariat of the Andean Community and the Andean Court of Justice, as well as international negotiations to obtain recognition and payment of compensation for damages to the terminal and the companies affected by the interruption of their operations.
