Valentina obtained her Cum Laude Law Degree from the Universidad Militar Nueva Granada (2018) and her Postgraduate Degree in Commercial Law from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Valentina has professional experience in the fields of Civil, Commercial, and Corporate Law, advising and managing complex legal matters, as well as developing and implementing legal strategies for risk mitigation across various industries. Her career includes a particular focus on compliance systems, specializing in risk prevention, control, and management.

Prior to joining Guzmán Escobar & Asociados, Valentina served as Legal Counsel in the General Secretay of one of Colombia's leading law firms and as Deputy Compliance Officer at the same firm, where she contributed to the enhancement of compliance systems and the implementation of corporate best practices. 

Currently, Valentina is part of the Maritime, Aviation, Corporate, and Transportation Law Area at Guzmán Escobar & Asociados, where she advises domestic and international clients on matters related to regulatory compliance, legal process optimization, and risk mitigation in the corporate and commercial sectors.

Valentina is Titulary Member of the Ibero-American Institute of Maritime Law – IIDM.
